In my mixed media class one of our last projects was to create our own picasso like painting. We had a student come up pose for us while we drew him from three different angles: side view, front view, and three quarter view. Out of the three sketches we did of each view we picked our best one and the other two sketches were cut up into pieces and glued onto the sketch that we decided to work on more. Lastly, we had to stick with one color of our choice but we could create different contrasts of the specific color by combining it with black or white. And for the details we could use black or white paint to highlight some of the features.
